Berger, Leif Erling

Mr. Berger taught rural school in Ransom County (1925-27) and in Kathryn, ND (1930-33) and served as West Fargo Superintendent of School from 1935-72. Because of his outstanding leadership, the West Fargo School District named a school in his honor, the L.E. Berger Middle School. Since his retirement, he has taught graduate course at North Dakota State University, In 1974, Mr. Berger was elected as a Democrat to the North Dakota Legislature, serving in the 1975 and 1977 sessions on the House Committee on Education. He is a past president of the Cass County School Administrators, past president of the North Dakota Administrators Association, and is a member of the Cass County Planning Board.
