Keller, Dr. John F.

In 1968, Dr. Keller joined the faculty at Valley City State University and from 1970 to 1990 he served as Chairman of the Division of Business. Prior to his coming to VCSU, Dr. Keller taught at Mayville State University and Dawson Junior College in Glendive, Montana. He also taught in several high schools in North Dakota, including Sherwood, Velva and Valley City. Active in many professional organizations, Dr. Keller was honored by his colleagues in the Mountain Plains Business Education Association by being selected to receive its most prestigious Leadership Award in 1985. He was also honored by his fellow North Dakota business teachers by being selected as the recipient of the Excellence in Business Teacher Education Award. The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education has recognized Dr. Keller's service and achievements by granting him the rank of Professor Emeritus. Dr. Keller has published several articles in business education journals and has made numerous presentations at seminars and conference. During his years as a student at Valley City State University, Dr. Keller was active in the Hesperia Sigma Society, Pi Omega Pi, drama club, VIKING staff, music and reigned as Homecoming King in 1955. He was also named to Who's Who Among Students in Universities and Colleges and was a Viking Pilot.
