What is a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)?
A QCD allows individuals aged 70½ or older to donate up to $100,000 per year directly from their IRA to a qualified charity without paying income tax on the distribution. These gifts count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and offer a tax-efficient way to support VCSU.
Who Can Give?
- You must be age 70½ or older at the time of the distribution.
- You must give from a traditional IRA.
- You can donate up to $100,000 per year tax-free.
How to Make a QCD to VCSU
